Farmers Distribution & Promotion Strategy

In general, demand for agricultural agribusiness products always has ups and downs. This is closely related to the distribution business. That is, the distribution must carefully calculate the mapping of the tidal region. If not overcome by the effort to estimate the amount of sales there will be excess products that can not be thrown into the market. Or, if able to enter the market then the price will fall well below the desired price.

In determining the distribution channels of products or commodities, agri-business entrepreneurs may choose to do so on their own or through intermediaries. Distribution services are essentially a separate type of business, so wanting to do it yourself should learn the principles and management of this business. Related to this, there are several reasons employers choose intermediaries in distributing their products, among others

- Fund considerations and sales personnel,
- Work efficiency,
- Local area marketing infrastructure, and
- Knowledge and experience handling local marketing area.

Determining Agribusiness Product Promotion Policy

After ensuring a mature distribution strategy then it can be done promotional efforts. Promotion is an activity of introducing, convincing, and recalling the benefits and quality of products to consumers. Promotions are usually made on new agribusiness commodities or the launch of new varieties. Promotion activities should pay attention to several things, namely:

- The amount of funds available for promotion,
- The stages of the production cycle,
- Consumers who want to go, and
- The nature or special characteristics of the product produced.

Most agricultural entrepreneurs have not paid much attention to promotional issues, as their average business has not been so intensive. However, if the business capacity is getting bigger and doing business expansion on agricultural agribusiness processing activities, then this promotion activity is inevitable.

Distribution and promotion is a tightly linked package. Distribution ensures the availability of promoted and promotional goods invites consumers in the target area to purchase the goods or agricultural products we sell. Agriculture Market
